It is with great pleasure I recommend Sharon Clark and the Ohio Sister Circle. Over the years I have seen the hard work and dedication of this organization to become what it is today; servicing young ladies and their families moving toward adulthood and beyond. The mentorships and community outreach gives the recipients the opportunity to not only support their communities but gain self confidence in knowing they can make a difference. The mentorships allows one on one relationships to support each other and gain additional knowledge that each young lady can use to become aware and responsible adults. This year my daughter (Chelsi Cargle) submitted an essay and was recognized as one of their outstanding scholars; the dorm gifts she received were amazing and useful. As an Executive Board member of Ohio Sister Circle Inc.’s Rising Star program, it is my pleasure to share a few observations of how the organization has impacted the lives of many young adults throughout northeast Ohio and beyond. I’ve been a part of this organization for more than 15 years and can attest to the growth that has taken place. OSC contributes to our communities by offering a strategic program that develops young people. This is done by multiple mentoring opportunities which allow for growth in the areas of education, communication, professionalism, and community involvement. On a professional level, Ohio Sister Circle Inc. continues to evolve and includes many fundraisers, and events that goes right back into the community. The board is comprised of individuals from both the private and public sectors. I would like to say thank you to you and your organization Ohio Sister Circle for your mentorship and support with my daughter who was a graduating senior 2022. She is currently at the University of Akron thriving and doing very well. I think the mission for the Ohio Sister Circle's has truly enhanced her life and will continue to enhance the lives of other young women and children throughout the programming and events that are offered. Not only do I love the support given through the mentorship program. The Backpack for literacy program was a huge success. It is a wonderful initiative to support literacy in our youth ages 6-14.
